Congratulations to the Year 11 Class of 2016

72% of students achieved an A*C in BOTH ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS.  This is a fantastic outcome and is significantly above the national average.  Although our headline measures are outstanding, behind this lies the hard work and dedication of all of the students, staff and support from parents which made these results possible.  The staff worked tirelessly with students and the students spent a great deal of time in extra revision sessions where we had the much needed support of our parents.

Progress

This year the government introduced a new measure of school success, progress 8 (P8) which looks at how well students make progress across eight subjects and compares it with students of similar abilities in other schools.

To learn more about progress 8 visit this link

P8 = 0.54 (Significantly outperforming other schools nationally) Our students achieve at least half a grade better than students of similar starting points nationally.  We are proud to have the highest P8 score throughout the authority!
