Glasshoughton Infant Academy Admissions Consultation
As part of our annual review process we have reviewed our Schools Admission Policy for September 2018. We are passionate about the learning journey of our young children and want to ensure that we are giving them the best start to their education.
We are proposing to give a higher priority for a full time school place to those children who have attended nursery at Glasshoughton Infant Academy over those children who have not attended Glasshoughton Infant Academy nursery.
Set out below is the criteria that we are proposing to use as our new admissions in to full time school.
(a) Children in public care (looked after children), or a child who was previously looked after or fostered under an arrangement made by the Local Authority.
(b) (i) Children who live in the school's catchment area, who have brothers and sisters attending the school at the time of admission.
(iii) Children who live in the school's catchment area at the time of admission.
(c) (i) Children who have brothers or sisters in attendance at the school however do not live in the school's catchment area.
(ii) Children who are attending Glasshoughton Infant Academy nursery.
(d) Other children, with priority being given to those living nearest to the school.
