Interform Games 2018 Y7-9

The objective of Interform Games is to provide all pupils in KS3 with the opportunity to take part in competitive sport. It is also a great way to promote teamwork, collaboration and respect.

The Y7's kicked off this year's Games with a Performing Arts morning hosted by the Music and PE department. The pupils showcased songs and dances which they have learned in their first half term at the academy. Pupils performed these to their peers and to a panel of 3 judges from Freedom 2 Dance. The judges were blown away by the standard of the performances and the level of respect students gave to those who were performing.  This was followed with Interform Games, where forms competed against each other in tug of war, netball and football.

Once again, staff were very impressed with not only the level of skill on show, but also the sportsmanship displayed by our pupils.  The results for this year's overall Y7, 8 and 9 winners will be announced in assembly next week.
