We have an exciting opportunity for a School Business Manager to join our Academy. The Primary Director of Education, Headteacher and Governing Bodies are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and inspirational individual to oversee Finance, Administration, HR and Premises Management for our school which sits within our Multi Academy Trust.The successful candidate will:
You will be:
Be committed to working in schools where children come first
Oversee the co-ordination of the finance and administration, catering, cleaning, premises and health and safety functions, including line management of a varied range of staff, administration of ICT facilities, school receptions, records and telephones
Manage financial processes and systems, produce forecasts and best value procedures, liaising with the Director of Business /Deputy Director of Business for the Multi Academy Trust
Be responsible for the effective management of financial administration procedures, including compliance with financialregulations
Be responsible for the letting of school premises to outside organisations and Academy staff, and for the development of all school facilities for out of school use, with particular reference to the local community
Have the capacity to manage the school’s HR function by liaising with our external and internal HR service
Lead and manage whole school recruitment and placements paying particular regard to safeguarding, safer recruitment andprecise and detailed records
Lead and manage the school’s legal obligations in relation to the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils, staff and all third parties on both sites
Comply with and assist with the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety and security
Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Be an excellent team player
Liaise/communicate with outside agencies and contractors to secure value for money
Able to organise, lead, manage and motivate other staff
Flexible and adaptable to a range of tasks
An excellent communicator and competent user of ICT skills (including spreadsheets and database software)
Able to interpret data effectively and communicate to various stakeholders
Able to maintain a high standard of performance whilst working to tight deadlines
Able to demonstrate effective negotiation skills in order to secure quality contracts and solutions to problems
Committed to providing the best for all pupils
Able to demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ approach to tasks with the ability to keep calm in challenging situations.
