Castleford Park Junior Academy is part of the Castleford Academy Trust. We provide a dedicated team of professionals to deliver the best education for over four hundred 7-11 year old pupils for the Castleford community. Part-time KS2 Teacher to work each afternoon Temporary Contract until August 2019

MPS - £23,720 to £35,008 FTE​

This specific role is new to the school and a unique opportunity to use your creative skills to plan exciting and engaging lessons covering the wider curriculum, which you will teach in each KS2 year group. It also provides an opportunity for an aspirational teacher to develop their leadership skills – working alongside HLTAs to plan and teach the lessons described above whilst also supporting them be confident and knowledgeable in their delivery.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a sound understanding of the curriculum and assessment for KS2

    Be an inspirational and creative teacher

    Work well as part of a team and also as an individual

    Be able to communicate well, with good interpersonal skills

    Have teaching experience of KS2

    Demonstrate a high expectation of achievement and behaviour

    Have the commitment to drive and raise achievement, planning for high standards and clear progression

    Have a commitment to working in partnership with parents and the wider community

    Have a commitment to academic reading and research​
