Teacher of Geography
Castleford Academy is a high performing over-subscribed 11-19 academy catering for over 1,300 pupils. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, we are proud of our achievements and firm commitment to providing an excellent education for all. Our expectations are high and this is reflected in our successful academic record.
Leaders challenge and support all stakeholders to achieve outstanding outcomes for all pupils across the MAT. We value and develop our staff by attracting and retaining high quality staff, supporting staff to achieve their best and create opportunities for professional growth and development.
The Academy received a new 'one day inspection' by Ofsted in June 2018. The purpose of the inspection was to determine if the academy is continuing to provide a 'good' education. The inspectors confirmed the 'good' judgment but also recommended that inspectors return to complete a two day (section 5) inspection due to significant evidence that Castleford Academy may be judged 'outstanding'.
